This build took awhile to complete as I had to track down NOS parts most that were discontinued, some factory suzuki parts from the era.
Bike was stripped down to bare frame and repowdered back in a gloss black to match the factory bikes of the era. The swingarm, subframe, and linkage was all pryme mx wheeled smooth and then sent to Nick of Nicks vapor honing in PA. to bring back to new! The showa suspension was pulled apart and serviced with new valving, springs, fluid and seals by Levi Kilbarger at Bonzi suspension along with Cerakote to match the factory items by Jojo Cunningham. A RG3 upper triple clamp was found after scouring many forums and ebay listings. The engine was sent to Mike Campbell to pull all the way down with a complete rebuild along with vapor honing everything, port and polish on the head, re-assembly with a full Ti kit from DocWob. I found new OEM clutch and magneto covers. A new keihn airstryker 38mm carb took car of the fueling department with a JD jet kit along with NOS OEM gas tank. A new OEM airbox assembly replaced the old worn assembly to prevent any air leaks. A set of dubya gold wheels laced with stainless spokes and Haan Magnesium colored hubs was wrapped in Michelin Starcross rubbers. New acerbis OEM replacement plastics were installed with Lightspeed Carbon fiber front fork guards along with some very rare NOS acerbis "pastrana" style handguards that really top off this build. AJ green at Vert MX was contacted and told the vision and he got straight to work reporducing the infamous One industries graphics that were ran by the factory team of the time. Pro circuit took care of the piston as well as the Works expansion chamber and TI-2 silencer as well as the linkage arm as the RG3 one could not be found and was discontinued many years ago. In the controls department ARC levers and perches was purchased to match what the team ran, a new OEM NOS brake pedal was found, Raptor Ti pegs from Charles at MX Revival was bought, a new shifter was bought stripped and brushed to obtain the factory look, NOS Tag grips were found and installed on a set of Pro taper bars with a custom 199 bar pad that was released as a limited edition. Moto master took care of the braking department with their vintage mx rotors and pads to replicate the rotors of that period along with a factory suzuki brake celvis and new CORE moto stainless brake lines. A NOS Tag metals rear sprocket was obtained along with a D.I.D. gold chain to wrap up the drivetrain. A new seat pan along with a tall guts racing seat foam and a One industries seat cover custom made by Ryan Blake to replicate the one Travis ran. DocWob came in play again with a full body Ti kit to give it that factory look along with shaving weight off, along with a "factory" water pump guard. Every nut and bolt was greased and torqued and replaced. This is as new of a bike as you can get without going and buying a new one off the showroom floor! Thanks for checking it out!
