The 250 class is ready to go racing at Millville after a competitive morning of qualifying at Spring Creek. Drew Adams found another level in the second session and posted the fastest lap of the morning, moving ahead of Levi Kitchen and championship leader Cole Davies. Ryder DiFrancesco qualified fourth, while Michael Mosiman continued his strong morning by rounding out the top five. Kitchen had controlled the opening session, but the quicker conditions in the second round allowed Adams to take over at the front. With the track already developing deep ruts and rough lines, and the championship battle between Davies and Kitchen separated by only a handful of points, the 250 motos should deliver plenty of action once the gate drops.

250 OVERALL RACE RESULTS

Carson Mumford charged hard to grab third in the second moto.

The second 250 moto began much like the first, with Kayden Minear out front and Michael Mosiman settling into second. Julien Beaumer ran third in the early laps with Cole Davies close behind, but Davies went down and dropped back to around twelfth. Mosiman began closing on Minear and appeared ready to challenge for the lead when he caught an edge and hit the ground hard. He was able to remount, but his race would eventually come to an end. With Mosiman out of contention, the battle at the front changed quickly. Chance Hymas and Levi Kitchen both worked their way past Beaumer before continuing forward and taking control of the top two positions. Carson Mumford was also on the move, climbing into third and beginning to pressure Kitchen as Hymas opened a lead of roughly three seconds. Beaumer mounted one final charge on the last lap and even went down in the process, but he recovered to finish fourth. That result was enough to secure the overall victory.

Levi Kitchen is now in full control of the points lead.

Chance Hymas rebounded in moto two, taking the win, which had to be a boost in confidence.

250 RACE RESULTS MOTO ONE

Michael Mosiman led to the final lap and put up a heck of a fight, finishing in second.

The opening 250 moto began in complete chaos. Casey Cochran went over the bars entering turn one, and the trouble continued as the field exited the high-speed corner. Cole Davies and Caden Dudney came together, triggering a massive pileup that also collected Levi Kitchen. With several of the championship contenders on the ground, Kayden Minear escaped with the lead ahead of Parker Ross and Michael Mosiman. Mosiman quickly went to work, moving into second before taking control of the race at the front. The championship then took another major turn when Davies’ bike gave out, forcing him out of the moto without a finish. That opened the door for Kitchen, who had remounted after the early crash and was steadily working his way back through the field. Julien Beaumer was also charging forward after running seventh early, making passes nearly every lap before moving into second and beginning to close the gap to Mosiman with five minutes remaining. At the same time, Kitchen had climbed to ninth and found himself directly behind a tightly packed group of riders. Beaumer continued to apply pressure late, and on the last lap made the move into the lead to take the win. Kitchen’s recovery ride, combined with Davies’ mechanical failure, was enough to move him into the championship lead with a considerably larger advantage heading into moto two.
