Abu Dhabi will host the inaugural EuroLeague Basketball SuperCup on September 18-19, with Olympiacos, Fenerbahce, Real Madrid and Dubai Basketball competing in a new four-team tournament at Etihad Arena.

EuroLeague announced Monday that the competition will use a Final Four format and serve as the official opening event of the European club basketball season.

The opening semifinal will feature reigning EuroLeague champion Olympiacos against 2025 champion Fenerbahce on September 18 at 18:00 local time. Dubai Basketball will then face 2026 finalist Real Madrid at 21:00.

The two losing teams will meet in the third-place game on September 19, followed by the first EuroLeague Basketball SuperCup final later that evening.

The field includes three of the top four teams from the 2025-26 EuroLeague regular season. Olympiacos finished first at 26-12 before sweeping Monaco 3-0 in the playoffs and defeating Real Madrid 92-85 in the championship game.

Real Madrid finished third at 24-14 and reached the Final Four after eliminating Hapoel Tel Aviv 3-1. Fenerbahce also posted a 24-14 record, finished fourth and beat Zalgiris 3-1 before losing 79-61 to Olympiacos in the semifinals.

Dubai Basketball enters as the only host-region representative after finishing its first EuroLeague regular season with a 19-19 record. The club was particularly strong at home, going 13-6, but finished 6-13 on the road and missed the postseason in 11th place.
