It was a summer shaped largely by free transfers and smaller fees until late in the day, as the Gers secured their second biggest signing of all time in the final week of the window.

New Rangers Signings 2026/27

Total summer spend: £34.25m

Ivor Pandur arrived from Hull City to challenge for the goalkeeping jersey, while Vanja Dragojevic joined from Partizan Belgrade for around £4m as a young defensive midfield option.

Ross McCrorie completes a return to Scottish football from Bristol City for around £1m. The 2-cap Scotland man started his career in the Ibrox academy, and James Penrice is another young Scot heading to Ibrox, but only on a temporary deal.

Dan Neil, Lawrence Shankland and Cammy Devlin have all joined on free transfers, with Shankland already picked out by McInnes as the club's new captain.

Ben Godfrey, Badredine Bouanani and Kosta Nedeljkovic have joined on loan, while Olwethu Makhanya also comes in to reinforce the backline following a World Cup campaign with South Africa.

Daisuke Yokota joined to reinforce the wide options but the two biggest deals were Kim Min-su, from La Liga 2 club Girona, and Portland Timbers star Kevin Kelsy, whose £9m move is only just shy of the club's record signing.

Rangers Departures 2026/27

Total summer sales: £11.8m

Mohamed Diomande is the biggest departure of the summer in terms of first team impact - the midfielder played 122 times for the Gers.

Oliver Antman has left for Belgian side Anderlecht in search of more playing time, while Jack Butland has returned to English football to join newly promoted Hull City for around £3m.

Ben Davies and Leon King have both left on free transfers, joining Bolton and Ayr United respectively. Long-serving captain James Tavernier has been released after his contract expired, and Kieran Wright has also departed as a free agent.

Danilo has joined Botafogo on loan and Bailey Rice has gone out on loan to Kilmarnock, while Nedim Bajrami, Thelo Aasgaard, Connor Barron and Lyall Cameron also moved away temporarily.

Who is Rangers' Record Signing?

Rangers' record signing is Tore Andre Flo, who joined from Chelsea in 2000 for a fee of £12m - a record that has stood for more than two decades.

The Norwegian striker scored on his debut against Celtic and would go on to net 38 goals in all competitions before being sold to Sunderland in 2002.

Who is Rangers' Record Sale?

Rangers' record sale is Calvin Bassey, sold to Ajax in 2022 for £19.6m.

Signed for a small fee due to cross-border transfer rules, Bassey became a key part of Rangers' Europa League final run in 2021/22 before Ajax made their move, netting the Gers a huge profit in the process.

The centre-back made 65 appearances all in all for the Gers, scoring once.
