Charles Conwell will return to the ring on Aug. 1 when he faces unbeaten Paul Kroll in a 10-round junior middleweight bout on the undercard of Lamont Roach Jr. vs. William Zepeda at The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.

Golden Boy announced the matchup Wednesday as part of the finalized lineup for the card, which will air on TNT, truTV and DAZN. Conwell (21-1, 16 KOs) returns for the first time since suffering the first defeat of his professional career, while Philadelphia’s Kroll (12-0-2, 8 KOs) steps into the biggest opportunity of his career against a contender who remains highly regarded at 154 pounds.

The card is topped by Roach and Zepeda battling for the vacant WBC lightweight title. In the co-feature, IBF lightweight champion Raymond Muratalla (24-0, 17 KOs) makes the second defense of his title against former world champion Robson Conceição (21-3-1, 10 KOs).

Also featured on the televised portion of the event, unbeaten welterweight contender Raul Curiel (17-0-1, 14 KOs) meets Quintin Randall (17-3-1, 4 KOs) in a 10-round NABF welterweight bout. Heavyweight prospects Gurgen Hovhannisyan (10-0, 9 KOs) and Uila Mau’u (10-0, 9 KOs) will square off in a battle of unbeaten punchers.

The undercard also includes unbeaten welterweight Joel Iriarte (10-0, 9 KOs), who will defend his WBA Continental Gold title against an opponent to be announced. Middleweight prospect Fabian Guzman (10-0, 8 KOs) faces Aaron Coley (17-5-2, 7 KOs), while Mexican Olympian Gael Cabrera (11-0, 7 KOs) and lightweight prospect Dylan Capetillo (2-0, 1 KO) are also scheduled to compete. Opening the show, Hawaii’s Dalis Kaleiopu (8-0, 6 KOs) takes on Yeyery Castillo (14-2, 11 KOs) in a six-round lightweight bout.

Conwell’s return adds another meaningful matchup to one of the deepest undercards of the summer. A victory would put the Cleveland native back in position to pursue another run toward a world title, while Kroll has the chance to make a major statement by handing the former contender a second consecutive defeat.
