The Los Angeles Clippers and Cam Christie have agreed to postpone the deadline for guaranteeing the young guard’s contract for the second time this offseason, according to Law Murray of The Athletic.

Christie’s $2.3 million salary for the 2026-27 season was initially scheduled to become fully guaranteed if he remained on the roster through June 30.

The two sides first pushed that deadline to July 20, and Murray now reports it has been extended again, this time to October 15.

The move gives the Clippers additional flexibility as they continue evaluating their roster before the start of the regular season.

Christie remains under contract through the 2027-28 campaign, with Los Angeles holding a $2.5 million team option for that season.

That option carries a guarantee date of June 30, 2027.

Selected 46th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, Christie has seen limited playing time during his first two seasons with the Clippers.

He appeared in 55 games last season, averaging 2.8 points and 1.4 rebounds in 8.7 minutes per contest.

The 6-foot-5 shooting guard, who turns 21 on Friday, is also the younger brother of Dallas Mavericks wing Max Christie.
