Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe NBA has handed down its punishments for the LA Clippers in the salary cap circumvention case involving Kawhi Leonard. While the Clippers are receiving substantial punishments, Leonard is being fine $700,000 with no further punishment. That Leonard isn't having his contract voided and isn't facing suspension should clear the way for the reported trade sending him to the Toronto Raptors to be completed.
"The full expectation around the Raptors and around Kawhi Leonard and the league is that this trade will be going through in the next few days," ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania reported yesterday.
The reported terms of the trade were that the Raptors would acquire Leonard. The Clippers would acquire Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, Toronto first-round picks in 2031 and 2033, a first-round pick swap in 2027, and Toronto second-round picks in 2030 and 2033.
