Dana White recently shed light on the UFC’s decision to release Michael ‘Venom’ Page.

Page, despite a staggering 83% win rate (five wins and just one loss), was cut from the promotion recently. And it also came in the aftermath of another victory of his, against Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC Paris, almost a week ago.

However, despite a unanimous-decision win, Page was criticized for a lackluster performance, which has been a concern in the MMA community in most of his UFC fights.

In the wake of this, speaking to the reporters at Radio Row in Las Vegas, White addressed Page’s removal from the UFC roster. The UFC President appeared to distance himself from the decision to cut the 39-year-old. He said:

At the end of the day, the matchmakers make the decision on who stays and who goes, and they didn’t want to re-sign him.

After Release From Dana White’s UFC, Michael Venom Page Headed to MVP MMA next?

Could Michael Venom Page be heading to MVP MMA next? At least that is what their founder, Jake Paul, wants.

Taking to X, after learning about Page’s release from the UFC, Paul wrote:

Think it’s time to bring MVP to MVP.

With only age not on his side, Page’s form has hardly dipped. He has an impressive 26-3 record in MMA, and his only UFC loss came against Ian Machado Garry. Given his impressive resume, it might only be a short while until he potentially finds a new home.
