The Dodgers have been scuffling without All-Star outfielder Andy Pages.

Pages landed on the 10-day injured list with a fractured hand after getting hit by a 100 mph fastball in a game against the Pirates on Aug. 21. However, the latest update on Pages bodes well for the slumping Dodgers, who are below .500 dating back to July 1.

Pages is reportedly pain-free in his fractured hand, according to Dodgers hitting coach Aaron Bates. He is expected to start swinging in the coming days after having surgery on his left hand just over a week ago.

Prior to going on the IL, Pages was averaging .272 with a .796 OPS. He began the 2026 season as one of the hottest hitters in baseball, which propelled him to earn the first All-Star selection of his young career.

The Dodgers desperately need a spark for their offense, which has been far from consistent this summer. On Wednesday night against the Cardinals, LA went 1-for-18 with runners in scoring position and left 13 runners on base.

Perhaps, Pages’ return can provide a boost for the Dodgers. Thus far in September, the back-to-back World Series champions have suffered two straight losses to St. Louis to open their nine-game homestand.
