Former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom could still return to Wintrust Arena despite being removed from Sunday’s WNBA game following a confrontation with Chicago Sky guard Natasha Cloud.

Chicago police told TMZ that no report was filed over the incident. A Wintrust Arena spokesperson said any potential punishment or ban would be decided by the WNBA.

“Based on the incident last night, decisions regarding reprimanding or banning would be the purview of the WNBA,” the spokesperson said.

The confrontation occurred during the third quarter of the Sky’s game against the Indiana Fever. Cloud exchanged words with Freedom, who was sitting behind the baseline, before he was escorted from the arena.

Freedom was wearing a shirt that read “woman noun adult human female” when he was removed.

It remains unclear whether the WNBA will take further action.

The incident comes after Freedom declared for the WNBA draft as a challenge to the league’s transgender eligibility policies, an effort the league previously described as a “bad-faith effort.”
