YAMAHA YZ450FX
The 2027 Yamaha YZ450FX is the big news in Yamaha’s 450 lineup. It adopts the updated design of the YZ450F, but with a change in direction focused on improving comfort and controllability in technical off-road conditions. Updates to the engine, frame, suspension and additional components are aimed at creating a better balance between high-performance 450 power and all-day rideability for cross-country racing.
The new YZ450FX engine is optimized for smoother power delivery with more usable low-to-mid-range torque, making it easier to ride in tight woods, rocky trails, and technical sections. It also receives a new 51-tooth sprocket, a new hydraulic clutch with a 15-percent lighter lever pull, YZ450F-derived frame updates, revised engine brackets, KYB suspension tuned for more comfort and compliance, and Dunlop Geomax AT82 cross-country tires. Overall, Yamaha designed the new YZ450FX to be easier to ride faster, longer, especially on demanding technical trails. The 2027 YZ450FX will be available this September in Team Yamaha Blue for $10,499 MSRP.
