When the points counted down on the final day of the season, there was a moment of joy that only football can produce. Sheffield Wednesday, sat on 0 points, could breathe a sigh of relief after their club had finally been saved from the clutches of Dejphon Chansiri.
As far as David Storch and his consortium are concerned, however, they're only just getting started. In their minds, there will be no Chansiri repeat.
That name will be banned around Sheffield Wednesday, as they set their sights on an instant return to the Championship with some impressive signings in mind.
Sheffield Wednesday discuss shock Jamie Vardy return
There is a great irony that whilst Leicester City were fighting for their lives in the Championship, Jamie Vardy has been in Northern Italy scoring goals in search of maintaining his side's Serie A status.
The forward's Italian adventures have not disappointed and Cremonese could still avoid relegation if results go their way on the final day.
It feels absurd for anyone to swap life in the Lombardy district, but questions have certainly arisen over whether Vardy could yet enjoy one last homecoming.
According to The Wednesday World's Joe Crann, Sheffield Wednesday chiefs have discussed the possibility of signing Vardy and welcoming their boyhood fan back at Hillsborough for the first time since he left the academy in 2003.
It would be a sensational move, but the 39-year-old is currently focused on keeping Cremonese in the Serie A, before answering questions about his future when his contract expires this summer.
Returning stars seem to be on the agenda for Sheffield Wednesday too, with further reports suggesting that a shock return for Barry Bannan could be on the cards.
Sheffield Wednesday could seal stunning Bannan return
Welcoming Bannan back to the club just months after saying goodbye is only comparable to saying goodbye to a friend before catching the same train.
It would be a slightly awkward reunion, but certainly well worth the conversation.
The 36-year-old started just six games for Millwall this season and could be heading for the exit door before he's even made his mark. And if that is the case, the Owls should make sure that they're at the front of the queue for his signature.
Their love for the midfielder has far from died and with new owners, Bannan could receive the opportunity to become a hero all over again at Hillsborough next season.
According to SportsBoom, the first task of new sporting director Simon Wilson will be to re-sign Bannan for Sheffield Wednesday this summer. It's an ambitious first task, but one which would instantly get fans onside.
It is reportedly well-known that the midfielder wants to end his career at the club, perhaps leaving the door ajar for a shock return.
At 36 years old, he may not get another opportunity to fulfil that wish and do so whilst achieving a successful promotion back to the Championship.

Of course, if it comes down to Vardy vs Bannan, then there's also only one answer. The latter is not only a winner in that debate based on emotions, either.
He is younger than Vardy and is still good enough to feature for a side battling for promotion to the Premier League, let alone League One.
He's featured 516 times in the EFL - 477 of which have come for Wednesday. As much as they can try to replace Bannan, the Owls' best answer would be to knock on Millwall's door and forget their club legend bowed out in the first place.
Of course, the last time that the veteran star featured in League One, he scored seven goals and assisted another 12. Three years later, that quality is yet to disappear and he'd be an excellent signing for Wednesday's promotion push.
