Gregory Rodrgues has fired back at Anthony Hernandez after he claimed he cheated at UFC Sacramento.

Rodrigues beat Hernandez by decision on Saturday in an upset win. It was a great performance from Rodrigues, but Hernandez claimed he cheated by grabbing the inside of his glove to defend the takedowns.

However, after the win, Rodrigues fired back and said he didn’t cheat and won fair and square at UFC Sacramento.

“He can say whatever he wants. The fact is I beat him with leg kicks, the punches; he didn’t take me down. He didn’t do anything. he did pressure that was good, but I didn’t cheat; he knows that,” Rodrigues said to Ariel Helwani. … “I didn’t cheat in the fight. We fought good, we had a dogfight; we tried to kill each other. If it was clear, Herb Dean would’ve said something, or everyone on TV would’ve seen something. In the end, I’m still the same. A lot of respect to him; he’s a warrior, a tough guy, and he will bounce back.”

It’s all class from Rodrigues, who gave respect to Hernandez, despite ‘Fluffy’ claiming he cheated at UFC Sacramento.

Anthony Hernandez frustrated with Gregory Rodrigues’ cheating

After the decision loss, Anthony Hernandez spoke to the media and claimed Rodrigues was cheating by grabbing the inside of his gloves.

“The more I seen him slow down, I thought, ‘OK, I’m going to get him this round,’” Hernandez said at the evening’s post-fight press conference. “I hit him a few times, I rocked his shit, he’s a tough son of a b*tch. I hit him with everything and the kitchen sink, hit him with some hard elbows, f*cker was cheating and grabbing the inside of my gloves and I told [referee] Herb [Dean] that. I fight clean, so it is what it is. Maybe I should be more dirty. …

“I told f*cking Herb, ‘This motherf*cker’s grabbed my glove, like, four times. Hey, he’s grabbing my gloves,’ and he told him, ‘Hey, stop.’ But I mean, whatever. Don’t take a point, whatever. I guess people like to cheat, so it is what it is.”

Ultimately, Rodrigues said he didn’t cheat and Herb Dean didn’t see anything to stop the fight or take a point.
