The Atlanta Hawks have signed center Will Baker to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to RealGM on Tuesday, September 15.

Baker is expected to join Atlanta for the preseason before likely moving to the College Park Skyhawks for the upcoming G League season.

The 6-foot-11 center has spent the majority of his professional career outside the NBA after beginning his college career at Texas. He played 23 games for the Longhorns as a freshman in 2019-20, averaging 2.1 points and 1.9 rebounds in 8.4 minutes per game.

Baker later transferred to Nevada, where he became a more prominent offensive contributor during the 2022-23 season. He averaged 13.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 32 games while shooting 56.0% from the field, 35.5% from three-point range and 84.2% from the free-throw line.

He moved to LSU for the 2023-24 season, averaging 9.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 32 games.

Baker then began his professional career in Europe, appearing in eight BNXT League games for Windrose Giants Antwerp during the 2024-25 season. He averaged 8.9 points and 5.8 rebounds in 16.5 minutes per game.

He also spent part of that season with the Iowa Wolves in the G League, averaging 4.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in 28 appearances.

Baker continued his career overseas with Borac Zemun in Serbia in 2025-26, where he posted 11.8 points and 3.7 rebounds in nine games.

He returned to the G League with the Osceola Magic and had his most productive season at that level. Baker appeared in 43 games, averaging 9.5 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 18.6 minutes while shooting 62.3% from the field and 36.6% from three-point range.

The Hawks already have significant frontcourt depth entering the 2026-27 season. Onyeka Okongwu averaged 15.2 points and 7.6 rebounds in 74 games last season, while Jock Landale contributed 9.1 points and 4.1 rebounds in 23 appearances.

Atlanta also has second-year center Mouhamed Gueye, who averaged 4.4 points and 3.6 rebounds in 77 games, and rookie Zuby Ejiofor, the No. 23 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
