Herlings reflects on strong opening day in Türkiye

Jeffrey Herlings enjoyed an excellent opening day at the MXGP of Türkiye. The Dutchman was fastest in both free practice and time practice before ending Saturday with victory in the qualifying race.

Herlings certainly did not get the win handed to him. During the race, he had to chase down his teammate Tom Vialle, before making a strong move to take the lead in the closing stages and ride to victory.

Everything is now set for a special Sunday in Afyonkarahisar. Tomorrow, Herlings can secure the sixth world title of his career.
