The right-footed midfielder showcased his physicality on the world stage by winning 67% of his ground duels, winning 8.7 duels per match in total, which suggests that he would be able to dominate midfields in the Premiership.

He was able to shine at the World Cup because he is a player with genuine quality who has already proven that he can play in Europe's major leagues, with 106 appearances in the Serie A to date.

Ferguson has scored 15 goals and provided six assists in 135 appearances for Bologna in all competitions, after he scored 37 goals and racked up 23 assists in 169 matches for Aberdeen during his time in Scotland.

The 26-year-old star, who completed 88% of his passes and won 53% of his duels in the Serie A last season, would arrive at Ibrox as a player who can hit the ground running as an instant star, raising the ceiling of the team with his proven quality.
