At Eurobike back in June, Cory spotted the Intend Elevator dropper post and covered it in detail. What he didn’t know at the time was when it would become available, and how much it would actually cost. Well, we’ve got those details now, as the Elevator was officially released last week.

Elevator Dropper Details

Intend makes some of the fanciest and most expensive upside-down forks and rear shocks on the market. So, it came as a bit of a surprise when we learned the brand’s first dropper would have a three-digit retail price that also started with a three.

As we learned back in June, the Elevator dropper is launching in just one size. It is currently available in the 31.6mm diameter, with up to 190mm of travel. The stroke is adjustable and can be reduced in 10mm increments to dial in its fit. It has precisely CNC-machined parts, a monocoque stanchion, and a fully sealed cartridge. You can learn more about its design here. It is listed at €379 including 19% VAT.

Elevator Boy Remote

Of course, Intend made the Elevator dropper with a black anodized lower tube and hard-anodized bronze stanchion to match their forks. They also made the Elevator Boy remote lever with an anodized pad to match the Elevator dropper’s stanchion. Intend says that it is universally compatible and will work with any other cable-actuated dropper on the market.

The Elevator Boy’s dual bearings are intended to provide ultra-smooth, play-free actuation, and the integrated cable clamp allows for tool-free cable engagement/disengagement. It is Matchmaker compatible, and weighs just 27 grams. It retails for €79 including 19% VAT.

Availability

Intend’s new Elevator dropper and Elevator Boy remote are both available now. Intend states that high order volumes associated with the recent launch could potentially cause some minor dispatch delays for the dropper, but that they are working hard to get them shipped in a timely fashion.
