Left fielder Jackson Chourio may play Mr. October for the 2026 Milwaukee Brewers. 

After sparking a comeback in a 4-3 home win over the Chicago Cubs on Monday night, Chourio delivered another clutch moment in the second game of Milwaukee's three-game home stand.

Jackson Chourio delivers in the clutch again 

With the Brewers trailing 3-1 and the Cubs only needing one out to end the game, Chourio crushed an 85 mph changeup from relief pitcher Jacob Webb 394 feet into left field for a two-run home run. Designated hitter Christian Yelich scored off the dinger. 

Rookie right fielder Luis Lara completed the comeback in the bottom of the 10th inning, singling off a 77 mph curveball from pitcher Caleb Thielbar, sending in second baseman Brice Turang. Following the 4-3 win over Chicago (81-65), the Brewers are 90-56, marking the fourth straight season they've won 90-plus games.

The Brewers can again thank Chourio, who's becoming the guy they count on in big moments. He's embracing that role. 

"Sometimes I feel like I was born for those moments," Chourio said Monday, via MLB.com's Adam McCalvy. "Other times, I like the pressure that those moments bring. I don't know why, but I know I enjoy them." 

Tuesday night's win will increase Chourio's confidence in those moments. That's good for the Brewers, who may face the Los Angeles Dodgers during the postseason. 

The Dodgers are aiming to win their third straight World Series title and are in a position to do that. Entering Tuesday night, L.A. was 87-57 and second in the NL behind the Brewers. 

To beat L.A. in the postseason, Milwaukee needs someone who won't fold under pressure. Chourio may be that player.
