Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayJacob Bank remained unbeaten on Saturday, turning in a dominant performance to defeat Pawel August by unanimous decision on the undercard of Anthony Joshua vs. Kristian Prenga at the Jeddah Superdome in Saudi Arabia.
All three judges scored the eight-round super middleweight bout 80-72 for Bank, who controlled the action from the opening bell against a fellow unbeaten opponent. The Danish contender established his jab early and repeatedly beat August to the punch, leaving the Polish fighter chasing the contest for most of the night.
Bank’s movement and timing prevented August from putting together any sustained offense. August had few answers over the eight rounds as Bank repeatedly beat him to the target and kept the fight at his preferred range. Every session followed a similar script, reflected by the three 80-72 scorecards.
August deserved credit for hearing the final bell, but he spent most of the contest reacting to Bank’s offense instead of creating his own.. Bank mixed his attacks effectively and never gave August an opportunity to build any momentum, producing a clean sweep on the scorecards.
The victory lifted Bank to 20-0 and handed August the first defeat of his professional career. It also strengthened Bank’s standing among the rising names at 168 pounds after another composed display against an opponent who entered the ring without a loss.
