Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe Boston Celtics have not given any consideration to trading Jaylen Brown or Derrick White this offseason, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN. Last offseason in the midst of a significant remaking of their roster in which Jrue Holiday, Al Horford, Kristaps Porzingis and Luke Korent all exited, there were reports around the draft that the Celtics were listening on Brown and White. This does not appear to be the case two weeks before the draft.
"There has been speculation about whether they could make a change to their big three, and certainly that's been a topic of conversation," said Windhorst in an interview with CLNS Radio. "You can debate whether that's something they'll consider, but I'm going to tell you: I have not heard any material, true discussions. I'm not certain... maybe someone has called on Jaylen Brown, but I have not heard one iota of Jaylen Brown truly being available, or Derrick White being available."
Brown is eligible for a contract extension this offseason and is signed until the 2029 offseason. Brown was a second team All-NBA player this past season as he led the Celtics to the second seed in the Eastern Conference even though they played most of the season without Jayson Tatum.
White has a player option after the 2027-28 season.
