Earlier tonight at Noche UFC, Jean Silva survived early adversity and then secured a third-round finish against Jose Miguel Delgado to extend his winning streak to two.

Jose Miguel Delgado proved the oddsmakers wrong right away in Round 1. He started faster, and although Silva showed no reaction to his early shots, the Mexican fighter continued landing clean punches and chopping the Brazilian’s lead leg. A heavy right hook from Miguel Delgado dropped Silva in R1, but “Lord” survived. In the final seconds of the round, Silva absorbed a few more heavy shots and looked briefly stunned.

After losing the first round due to being too slow, Silva fully recovered in Round 2 and earned Delgado’s respect by landing precise counters, scoring takedowns, and throwing a couple of wild shots. However, the action remained competitive in the second stanza, and both fighters had their moments.

In Round 3, to turn the tide in his favour, Silva applied constant forward pressure and managed to drop Delgado with a right hook, after which the 29-year-old sunk in a rear-naked choke to secure the finish.
