Crvena Zvezda continued its encouraging preseason run by producing a late comeback against Armani Olimpia Milan in the opening game of a tournament in Crete.

Milan controlled much of the contest, but Zvezda completely changed the momentum in the final period.

The Serbian club dominated the fourth quarter 30-18 to erase the deficit and claim a 91-85 victory, its second consecutive win of the preseason.

Jordan Nwora, Zvezda’s leading scorer last season, once again carried much of the offensive load.

He finished with a game-high 23 points, shooting 6-of-8 from two-point range, 2-of-5 from beyond the arc and a perfect 5-of-5 at the free-throw line.

Several offseason additions also made an immediate impact.

Milan newcomer Moses Wright delivered a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while former NBA player Garrison Mathews contributed 13 points and connected on three three-pointers.

Alec Peters, who joined Milan after winning the EuroLeague with Olympiacos last season, chipped in nine points.

Meanwhile, Patrick Baldwin Jr. impressed for Zvezda with 13 points and five rebounds, including three made shots from beyond the arc.

Both clubs will return to action Monday to complete their participation in the Crete tournament, with their next opponents determined by the result of the Olympiacos-Fenerbahce matchup.
