Polarizing UFC heavyweight contender Josh Hokit drew the ire of Valter Walker and others after mocking Ian Machado Garry’s son.

Heavyweight contender Josh Hokit is on the verge of a potential title shot after finishing knockout king Derrick Lewis at UFC Freedom 250 earlier this summer. Hokit, a former Dana White’s Contender Series standout, remains unbeaten in his heavyweight career and is on a meteoric rise in the division.

But Hokit has made headlines for his behavior outside of the Octagon, almost as much as his accomplishments inside the cage. Hokit made national headlines when he openly called former First Lady Michelle Obama a biological male during his UFC Freedom 250 interview with Joe Rogan.

After angering UFC CEO Dana White with his comments, Hokit isn’t pulling punches ahead of UFC 330 on Saturday.

Hokit raised eyebrows when he responded to a viral clip of Ian Machado Garry’s son crying because he was unable to meet Islam Makhachev after a faceoff.

“Try to play that game and have your kid shake my hand,” Hokit posted. “I’d punt that f—— kid.”

Hokit drew the ire of many fight fans on social media. A fellow UFC heavyweight star, Valter Walker, took things a step further in his online reply.

In a recent tweet, Walker slammed Hokit’s comments.

“Any jacka– with two personalities, just so he can hide behind one of them, is a complete idiot,” Walker said of Hokit.

“Just shut up. ‘Incredible s—.”

As of this writing, Hokit hasn’t responded to Walker’s tweet. Walker most recently submitted Thomas Petersen at UFC Abu Dhabi last month.

As Hokit gets closer to a potential heavyweight title shot, he’s not making many friends in his division. Hokit and Walker could potentially be on a collision course as they continue to find success inside the Octagon.
