Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe De Baets AIT Racing Team once again demonstrated during the MXGP of Latvia in Kegums that it has the speed to fight for strong results. Particularly in the EMX125 class, there were several positive signs thanks to strong performances from Dex Kooiker and Torre van Mechgelen, while Vencislav Toshev endured a difficult weekend in the EMX250 category.
Dex Kooiker started his weekend strongly by setting the eighth-fastest time in his practice group. In the opening race, the Dutch rider got away well and completed the first lap in twelfth position. He then worked his way forward impressively throughout the race and crossed the finish line in eighth place.
The second race also offered good prospects for a strong result. Kooiker started around fifteenth position, but a crash disrupted his progress. Despite his determination, he eventually had to settle for 23rd place at the finish.
For Torre van Mechgelen, the weekend began promisingly with the sixth-fastest time in his practice group, marking his best qualifying result of the season so far.
In the first race, the Belgian rider made a strong start and spent much of the race running inside the top ten. After several exciting battles, he eventually finished in twelfth place.
The second race was less fortunate. After starting around twentieth position, Van Mechgelen was set back by crashes and could do no better than 32nd place at the finish.

“It was my first time riding this track, so the main focus during free practice was learning the circuit. Everything came together well in qualifying, and with the sixth-fastest time, I achieved my best qualifying result of the season.
The first race was good. I got a strong start, rode around eighth place, and had several great battles throughout the race. I was satisfied with twelfth place.
Unfortunately, I had a poor start in the second race and also crashed twice. As a result, the final result does not reflect how well I was actually riding. The speed was definitely there and, honestly, I think this may have been my best riding of the entire season.”
In the EMX250 class, Vencislav Toshev experienced a challenging weekend. The Bulgarian rider set the twentieth-fastest time in his practice group, leaving him to start both races from the middle of the pack.
In the first race, Toshev completed the opening lap in 21st position. Several mistakes during the race prevented him from moving forward, and he was eventually classified in 24th place.
The second race was also difficult. After starting around 24th position, he was unable to gain ground and finished in 25th place.
“A bad weekend. We will keep working hard and come back stronger in Italy.”
