The New Orleans Pelicans have signed guard Markquis Nowell to an Exhibit 10 contract. Nowell is expected to join the Laketown Squadron following the preseason.

Nowell has previously played with the Toronto Raptors and Raptors 905 on a two-way deal. He then played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, before joining Baskonia in Spain. The 5-foot-7 guard averaged 5.9 points and 3.1 assists per game for Baskonia last season.
