The Utah Jazz have waived guard Matt Murrell after recently signing him.

Murrell appeared in 44 total games for the Salt Lake City Stars, including 20 starts, and scored in double figures 23 times. Murrell helped Salt Lake City win the 2025 G League Winter Showcase.

Murrell played five seasons at Ole Miss from 2020 to 2025. He appeared in a program-record 153 games and ranks fourth in school history in three-point field goals made with 261 and seventh in scoring with 1,788 points.

During the 2023-24 season, Murrell averaged 16.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals across 32 starts, earning All-SEC Second Team honors.
