Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayMax Holloway is not impressed with the excuses Conor McGregor has been making after UFC 329.
McGregor returned to the octagon after 5 years at UFC 329 and had planned a ‘generational beating’ of Holloway in their rematch. However, his plans were ruined after he tore his ACL and meniscus while throwing a wild flying kick when the bout began.
Once the Irishman’s lead leg was injured, he kept falling to the ground, which led referee Mike Beltran to stop the contest after just 69 seconds, and “Blessed” won by TKO.

(Photo by Chris Unger/Zuffa LLC)After the loss, McGregor took to social media, claiming that the octagon floor had become slippery because of the dry ice and smoke used during the walkouts, which could have caused him to slip and injure his right knee. The Notorious” thus called for the result to be overturned from a loss on his record to a no contest and insisted that all bets on the fight should be returned.
Holloway, however, does not agree with McGregor at all. Having been inside the same octagon at the same time, “Blessed” says the mat wasn’t slippery at all. Instead, he believes McGregor looked ‘slow and old’ and was never going to dismantle him that night. In a recent video on his channel, the Hawaiian warrior quipped:
“It’s just crazy for the dude [Conor McGregor] to be talking about how it was slippery because of the dry ice. I don’t know what he’s talking about because I didn’t fall. Him talking about this ‘generational beating’. Dude is delusional because to me, he felt slow in there. He looked old. If there was gonna be a generational beating, it wasn’t gonna be on his end.”

After the UFC 329 loss, “The Notorious” had to undergo knee surgery. After recovery and rehabilitation, he plans to enter the octagon, perhaps for one last time, next year during International Fight Week. He has already warned Holloway:
“What was to be a generational beating is now to be reset. IFW 2027 The Last Dance.”

Max Holloway wants a title shot next or A Conor McGregor fight again
During the same sitdown, Max Holloway also had a message for the UFC brass. The former BMF and featherweight champion, who plans to fight again in 2027, wants to run it back with Conor McGregor a third time or rematch newly minted 155-pound champion Justin Gaethje.
Lastly, if the matchmakers don’t like the aforementioned options, Holloway has another name in mind: UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev. He said:
“If it’s Conor next year, great. If it’s a title shot at some type of weight class, great. I got a win at 170 [pounds]. The ’70 champ [Islam Makhachev] or the ’70 champ’s team is not liking what I said, which just blew my mind, because I wasn’t being disrespectful.”
“I’ve got history with the 155 champ [Justin Gaethje], and I know that he probably wants to get that one back. So, if it’s a title shot in either weight class, sign your boy up. If it’s the Conor McGregor fight again, I’ll sign on the dotted line.”
