Bad news for Max Nagl. The experienced German rider has announced that his 2026 season has come to an immediate end after suffering a knee injury during a test session on Wednesday.

Nagl injured his left knee in the incident. Although the full extent of the injury has yet to be determined, it has already been confirmed that multiple knee ligaments have been torn. He is scheduled to undergo an MRI scan on Tuesday, followed by a consultation with a specialist. Surgery appears to be inevitable.

“This is a difficult message to share, but unfortunately my 2026 season is over. During a test session on Wednesday, I injured my left knee. I will most likely need surgery. I’m sorry for my team, sponsors, and fans that the season has come to such an early end.
