Earlier tonight at UFC Paris, Michael Page, who was fighting the last bout of his UFC contract, locked horns with Nursulton Ruziboev.

Right after the opening bell, Nursulton Ruziboev dragged MVP to the mat and spent nearly the rest of the round racking up ground control time without doing anything particularly significant, putting the crowd at Accor Arena in Paris, France, to sleep.

In Round 2, while everyone expected both fighters to go back and forth and turn the booing crowd in their favor, it was again MVP maintaining his distance, doing little of significance apart from landing a kick to Nursulton Ruziboev’s knee.

The Brit then spent the rest of the round moving and circling before being tagged by a right hook from Nursulton Ruziboev just before the final bell of the second stanza.

In Round 3, “Venom” was willing to engage on the feet, but “Black” scored a takedown. However, the referee soon pulled the fighters apart due to a lack of action.

After that, both fighters waited for an opening to land something significant but failed to do much beyond moving around and putting on a snooze fest.

Page was hesitant to find the finish against a gassed-out Nursulton Ruziboev.

The fight turned into a dancing contest, with both fighters failing to do anything significant until the final second.

Official decison: Michael Page defeated Nursulton Ruziboev by unanimous decision (29-28 x 3) at UFC Paris.

This was Michael Venom Page’s last fight on his contract, and following two back-to-back boring fights despite securing wins and now being on a four-fight win streak, he will most likely not be re-signed.
