Hitter of the Day

Bryce Rainer, SS, Detroit Tigers (High-A West Michigan): 5-5, 2 R, 2 2B, HR, 6 RBI, SB.
A severe shoulder injury cut Rainer’s initial professional season short, and may have contributed to his cold start to 2026, but he’s healthy now and once again doing damage at the plate. He’s been red hot since being promoted to High-A, hitting .319 with 7 home runs since June 1, albeit while sporting a 35% K-rate. While there’s still development needed in the bat, Rainer’s first half has reestablished him as one of the top bats in the system.
