The Charlotte Hornets have fully guaranteed Moussa Diabate's contract for the 2026-27 season. Diabate's contract was previously non-guaranteed. The deal would have become $250,000 guaranteed on the Hornets opening night, then fully guaranteed on the leaguewide guarantee date of January 10, 2027.

Diabate started in 47 of the 73 games he played for Charlotte last season. The 6-foot-10 center averaged 7.9 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists and a block per game for the Hornets.

The NBA awarded Diabate the Hustle Award for the 2025-26 season. The Hustle Award honors the player whose contributions lead towards winning, but don't always show up in the traditional NBA box score.
