EliMcGrath came out on top at the second round of the 2026 SuperMotocross Playoffs in Los Angeles with 267 points. The racing at Dignity Health Sports Park produced a much different challenge than the muddy Columbus opener, with dry conditions, tighter racing, and double points adding even more importance to every position. In the 250 class, Julien Beaumer went 1-3 to take the overall victory, while Ryder DiFrancesco finished second overall with 2-5 scores. Levi Kitchen recovered from a seventh-place finish in the opening moto to win moto two and finish third overall, allowing him to maintain the championship lead heading into the finale.

The 450 class delivered another major shift in the playoff picture as Jorge Prado used consistent 2-2 finishes to claim the Los Angeles overall victory. Ken Roczen won the opening moto before finishing fourth in moto two for third overall, while Hunter Lawrence bounced back from a difficult Columbus round with 4-1 scores to take second overall. Haiden Deegan finished fourth overall with 3-3 moto results. With double points awarded in Los Angeles, Prado extended his championship lead while the battle behind him tightened considerably as the series now heads to Missouri for the SMX World Championship Final.

 450 CLASS PREDICTIONS

Cooper Webb was not happy about the aggressive pass made by his teammate Haiden Deegan, which left Webb on the ground.

For Los Angeles, the 450 fantasy picks combined for 131 points, with Jorge Prado being the only rider to finish exactly where he was predicted. Prado was selected to win and delivered with the overall victory, earning 26 points plus the 10-point exact-position bonus for 36 points. Haiden Deegan was picked second but finished fourth overall, earning 19 points, while Hunter Lawrence was selected third and finished second for 23 points. Ken Roczen was picked fourth but finished third overall, earning 21 points. Eli Tomac was selected fifth and finished ninth for 14 points, while Cooper Webb was picked sixth and finished fifth overall for 18 points. Prado’s exact-position bonus brought the six-rider total to 131 points.

250 CLASS PREDICTIONS

Chance Hymas seemed to still struggle ever so slightly at Los Angeles and is looking to finish the season healthy and move on to 2027.

For Los Angeles, the 250 fantasy picks combined for 135 points, with Jo Shimoda and Pierce Brown both landing exactly where they were predicted. Levi Kitchen was selected to win but finished third overall, earning 21 points. Cole Davies was picked second but finished 14th overall for 9 points, while Julien Beaumer was selected third and went on to win the overall, earning 26 points. Jo Shimoda matched his fourth-place prediction, earning 19 points plus the 10-point exact-position bonus for 29 points. Ryder DiFrancesco was picked fifth but finished second overall for 23 points, while Pierce Brown matched his sixth-place prediction to earn 17 points plus the 10-point bonus for 27 points. Shimoda and Brown earned the two exact-position bonuses, bringing the six-rider total to 136 points.
