EuroLeague power Olympiacos is pursuing veteran NBA wing John Konchar. Olympiacos is looking for reinforcements on the perimeter after some recent turbulence with their roster.

Konchar was signed to a training camp deal with the New York Knicks. The 6-foot-5 guard/forward was considered a favorite to land an opening night spot, but was waive near the start of camp to attend to a personal issue.

Olympiacos lost wing Shaquielle McKissic in the offseason. Then veteran wing Evan Fournier suffered a sprained MCL in his right knee and a bruised shoulder. On top of those absences, guard Tyler Dorsey was suspended by the Greek club after complaining publicly about his role and contract.

There had been speculation that Konchar could land with another NBA team later in the season. Several teams are carrying open roster spots, but a handful won't be able to fill them until they're deeper into the season due to lack of room under a incurred hard cap.
