Phillies' Alec Bohm heating up after difficult April

Alec Bohm is heating up at the plate since coming off a historically unsettling slump in April, where he was batting .157 with a career low .433 OPS.

But he's resurged and has proved to be incredibly valuable to the Philadelphia Phillies during their shift in success, making a complete transformation in mid-May.

The impact he has provided has been icing on the cake for a Phillies clubhouse that has surged through May with a competitive edge.

In his last 15 games, he's gone 18-for-54 (.333 AVG) with three home runs, eight RBI, four walks, a .379 OBP, a .556 SLG, and a .935 OPS.

Uncovering Alec Bohm's path to resurgence

Following his poor offensive numbers, Bohm was absent from the lineup from May 7-8, taking a two-day break to help reset himself. During this time, he decided not to touch a bat.

When he returned, Bohm smashed two home runs, which led the Philadelphia Phillies to a 9-3 victory over the Colorado Rockies on May 9th. He also went 3-for-4 at the plate and collected 4 RBIs.

Bohm has also been fueling rallies lately, going 15-for-35 with three doubles, three home runs, and getting clutch hits in five of his last nine games.

His batting average is up to .217, and he recorded two hits, an RBI and a home run in the Phillies' 5-4 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Monday night.

The momentum he has carried through mid-May has been highlighted by multi-hit performances that have demonstrated his bounce-back mentality.

The Phillies are now two games above .500 (25-23) and have won five games in a row, continuing to illustrate their dominance in the NL East.
