The Philadelphia Phillies opened up a series in one of the best ways possible on Monday — full of milestones and ending in a statement win. 

Even as Kyle Schwarber went hitless and failed to reach base, the Phillies managed a 10-7 victory in the first of their three-game set with a Los Angeles Dodgers team that entered the series tied for the most wins in baseball. But the headlines from the game extend far beyond the win itself for the Phillies.

Two Phillies stars hit milestone HRs in the win

Both Bryce Harper and Trea Turner achieved a major milestone during the game. In fact, they both reached the same monumental number, just in two different ways. 

Trea Turner now has 200 career HRs

Turner, who went into the game with 198 career home runs, left Citizens Bank Park at 200. The first of his two homers came with one runner on and two outs already on the board. He would then go yard again in the sixth — a three-run shot that was part of a four-run inning. 

Turner finished the game going 3-for-5 with the pair of home runs and five total RBIs. He now has 14 home runs and 40 RBIs in 98 games in 2026.

Bryce Harper crushed his 200th HR with the Phillies

As for Harper, he hit his 200th career home run in his first season with the Phillies in 2019. But on Monday, he crushed his 200th long ball as a member of the Phillies when he sent a solo shot to deep left field in the seventh inning. It was his only hit of the game, as he went 1-for-3.

Harper now has 384 home runs between this time with the Washington Nationals and Phillies. His milestone home run snapped a power drought dating back to June. Harper's last home run before Monday was on June 29th against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

In 101 games and 356 at-bats this season, Harper owns 21 home runs, 60 RBIs, 60 runs scored, 18 doubles and a slash line of .258/.365/.497. 

So while getting a win by any means necessary is all that matters for a 56-45 Phillies team with high expectations, watching two key players check off personal accomplishments is a nice bonus for fans, too.
