Simon Langenfelder has convincingly won the first race of the Grand Prix of Turkey.

After a few laps, the German managed to pass Guillem Farres and then pulled away from the competition.

Championship leader Guillem Farres finished second ahead of Camden McLellan and Liam Everts. Julius Mikula completed the top five.

Sacha Coenen, who is second in the World Championship standings, had a terrible start and came out of the first corner in last place.

The Belgian made up a lot of positions during the opening lap and had moved into the top ten when he suffered a heavy crash on the second lap.

Coenen went over the handlebars on a jump and hit the Turkish sand hard. He was able to leave the track under his own power, but did not return to the race. It is still unknown whether Sacha will be able to line up for the second race.
