Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe new arena for the Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Flyers will open in 2030. The building is planned to be open in time for the new Philadelphia WNBA expansion team to start play for the 2030 season.
The building will be constructed on the former site of the Spectrum in South Philadelphia. Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment will be 50-50 partners with Comcast Spectacor in the fully privately financed new venue.
"Philly fans deserve the best arena in the world, and we are excited to partner with Comcast to deliver just that," Sixers managing partner Josh Harris said. "This privately funded arena will be the home to moments and memories that define this city for generations."
Added NBA commissioner Adam Silver: "I'm thrilled to see the first renderings of what promises to be an extraordinary home for NBA and WNBA basketball as well as many other world-class events. Beyond the incredible experience the new arena will bring to fans, I commend HBSE and Comcast for such a significant economic investment in Philadelphia."
