The Philadelphia 76ers’ blockbuster trade has significantly reduced their flexibility when it comes to future first-round draft picks, according to Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com.

Aaronson notes that Philadelphia now has very few first-round selections it can freely include in future trades.

The team’s 2028 first-round pick is tied up in agreements involving the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers, limiting its value because Boston already controls much of its upside.

There is also a chance the selection may not even be conveyed as a first-round pick.

As a result, the Sixers have only one first-round pick that can currently be traded without restrictions – their 2033 first-round selection.

The lack of movable draft capital could make it more difficult for Philadelphia to pursue another major trade in the coming years.
