Stephen Curry remains optimistic that the Golden State Warriors can stay in the playoff race despite entering the season without two key contributors.

Golden State will once again rely heavily on Curry while Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody recover from serious injuries, placing additional responsibility on the veteran guard entering his 18th NBA season.

Even so, Curry believes the team’s priority is staying relevant until everyone returns.

“You hope that they both come back healthy,” Curry said.

“And we can play at a level that keeps us relevant and competitive and builds a foundation so that we can figure out what it looks like. But that is the situation. We don’t live in any alternative universe.”
