Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe Minnesota Twins are currently two-games under .500 at 49-51, but thanks to a shaky American League Central are just four-games out of first place.
But after losing two-of-three to the Chicago Cubs in their return from the All-Star break, help is on the way in the form of All-Star Byron Buxton. The 12-year veteran was activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of their series opener against second-place Cleveland, who have a three-game lead over the Twins in the division.
Buxton has been one of the best Twins players of the last decade when healthy, but before 2024 had played more than 100 games just once in nine campaigns. Despite his IL stint before the Midsummer Classic, he’s on pace to exceed 100 games for the third year in a row with 25 home runs and a .271 batting average in 75 contests. He’s also just seven dingers away from breaking into the 200-home run club.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Buxton’s 35 homers in 2025 made him the first Twin to hit the 30-HR milestone since Jorge Polanco and Miguel Sano in 2021. With that being said, can you name the most recent player to hit 30 home runs in a season for each MLB franchise?
Good luck!
