Despite a disappointing finish to the season, the Thunder remain fully committed to Chet Holmgren and are not expected to consider trading the young big man this offseason.

Both Holmgren and Oklahoma City were frustrated by their performance in the Western Conference Finals against San Antonio, but there is no indication that the organization views him as anything other than a core piece of its future.

Instead of pursuing a major roster shakeup, the Thunder are expected to focus on smaller moves as they navigate future salary-cap challenges and luxury-tax considerations.

General manager Sam Presti could explore deals involving one or both of the team’s first-round picks in the 2026 NBA Draft.

Veteran role players such as Aaron Wiggins and Isaiah Joe have also been mentioned as possible trade candidates as Oklahoma City looks to maintain financial flexibility.

The franchise must additionally make decisions on team options for Lu Dort, Isaiah Hartenstein and Kenrich Williams.

While changes are expected around the edges of the roster, the Thunder continue to view Holmgren as a key building block alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams moving forward.
