Tim Hardaway believes Klay Thompson is an ideal fit for the Miami Heat and expects the veteran guard to perform better in Miami’s system than he did with the Dallas Mavericks.

“He fits in perfect. He’s looking at trying to win another championship. He’s going to play a lot better in this system than he did with the Mavericks,” Hardaway said.

He also believes Thompson and Tim Hardaway Jr. should receive better perimeter opportunities because of the pressure Miami’s stars can put on opposing defenses.

“Him and Tim Jr are gonna have more open shots than they did last year. If they don’t that’s because the other guys are not going to help and then Bam and Giannis are going to tear the rim down!”
