Tottenham Hotspur have been through it all over recent seasons. Back to back 17th place finishes in the Premier League led to a mass spending spree in the summer of 2026.
With Roberto De Zerbi at the helm, Spurs spent a club-record £100m fee to lure midfielder Sandro Tonali to north London. He joined £85m star Mateus Fernandes in the engine room.

With Guglielmo Vicario no longer at the football club, Antonin Kinsky has become the main man between the sticks.
It's something of a miracle really after that night against Atletico Madrid, but he has fought away the doubters to be given the gloves by De Zerbi. That said, he may have to prove himself a bit more before he earns a pay rise on his £60k-per-week salary.

Skipper Cristian Romero left for Atletico while Djed Spence also exited, heading for Inter Milan. Really, such mass change was unsurprising. In the last two seasons, their defensive record has been incredibly poor.
As a result, Spurs signed former Liverpool man Andy Robertson on a free, handing him a wage of £160k-per-week. Marcos Senesi also arrived as a free agent, subsequently handed a £150k-per-week salary.
Fellow new signing Jan Paul van Hecke earns a weekly wage of £100k while Micky van de Ven is the second top earner at the club on £245k after penning a new deal in the summer of 2026.

Spurs forward salaries

While Spurs looked at Iliman Ndiaye and Cody Gakpo and were close to landing both players at various stages, it was Savio, Marmoush and Mudryk they ended up with.
Marmoush is only on loan at the moment, although will become a permanent part of the team in 2027/28. He is Spurs' top earner right now on an eye-watering £250k-a-week. The second highest earning forward is the injury-stricken Xavi Simons while new signings Savio and Mudryk take home £120k and £100k-per-week, respectively.
