Tottenham Hotspur have now entered pole position in the race for AFC Bournemouth star Eli Junior Kroupi, and a bid could soon be made.
Spurs have made some major moves early in the summer transfer window, signing Mateus Fernandes from West Ham United and fellow midfielder Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United.
Indeed, Roberto De Zerbi has overhauled his midfield by signing two Premier League stars, which means the north Londoners can now start working on strengthening other areas of the squad.

Tottenham's advantage over PSG in race for Kroupi
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Tottenham have now entered the lead in the race for Kroupi's signature, and they could be set to test the waters with an opening bid soon, although it could take over £75m to tempt the Cherries into a sale.
PSG are also keen on signing the Frenchman, but the European champions' strength in depth in attack means Spurs can offer him a better path to first-team football straight away, which has put them in the driving seat.

How Kroupi compares to Richarlison
Richarlison was Tottenham's starting striker for large parts of the 2025-26 campaign, and a goal return of 11 was decent, considering his side were almost relegated from the Premier League.
However, the Bournemouth marksman was more prolific in front of goal, averaging 0.70 goals per 90, compared to 0.51 from the Brazilian.
Like Richarlison, the teenager is also versatile and able to play on the left-wing, or through attacking midfield, albeit he may be more suited to being a striker, given that he didn't register a single assist last season.
That said, Kroupi has only been playing in the Premier League for one season, so Spurs should try and negotiate a lower fee than the monster asking price of over £75m.
