Hangtown had some cool hardware this year for the top performers.
A red plate aboard Hunter Lawrence's Team Honda HRC Progressive CRF450RWE is something we've come a bit accustomed to in 2026...
However, the new red on blue at the rear is different. Personally, we dig it.
You can always find a Motion Pro gauge floating around a team's pit area.
Jorge Prado's latest Fox V3RS featured a Red Bull paint job that mirrored stained glass.
We always say it, just when you think they've run out of ideas for a Red Bull lid, they come out with one more surprise.
While it wasn't off-the-charts warm at Hangtown this year (don't even get us started on last year...), the cooling vests are starting to pop up.
Those lower tubes...drool...
Aaron Plessinger is on air forks, but a valved version of the stock AER48 air fork.
Which has been common for AP over the past few seasons.
Off-road racer Dante Oliveira had a factory air fork, but if you look closely, he also has different split triple clamps than the moto guys. Dante's clamps have their pinch bolts offset from one another, with the bottom split of each clamp having the pinch location at the front and the top split with the pinch location in the back. As far as we can tell, the Red Bull KTM motocross team is using a version of the PowerParts split clamps, while Dante, aboard his FMF KTM off-road program, is using an unbranded X-Trig ROCS clamp.
Nice touch there for the "King" of West-Coast off-road.
We know it's just paint, but we almost wanted to reach out and try to feel the stitched name tag.
Sexton's kit, helmet, etc was on point this weekend.
It's crazy to think that it's been well over a decade now since the Oakley Airbrake came to market. Actually, 2027 will mark 15 years since its introduction.
Serious face.
The "aftermarket" wheels were still aboard Sexton's machine this weekend, still unbranded, but they are HAAN hubs.
This one is a few rounds old but part of the changes to Sexton's engine package was reverting to an older spec factory airbox, not the MXGP-esque one he had at one point in the year.
Sexton's swingarm appears to be back to standard.
Radiator fan and custom radiator/radiator tank area.
Oil cooler line heading from the filter housing, there's another line below the water pump that isn't visible due to the skidplate.
25mm cartridge and production forks still onboard, via Matt Andruk of Active Ride.
Sexton's X-Trig ROCS clamps are the "tech" style version that utilizes a production stem that is pressed in and not reversible. It produces a different feel than the ROCS Pro clamps that have a bolt-in stem that's reversible.
Will this become a familiar sight through the 2026 Pro Motocross season? The Lawrences and Deegs sharing a podium together.
Righty tighty, lefty..
It's been since 2019 with Adam Cianciarulo that Pro Circuit last held a red plate in Pro Motocross. Crazy to think how long ago that already was.
Seth Hammaker's top engine hangers are very, very thin.
While Levi Kitchen's version is a bit thicker.
What's the silver clamp? Just the mounting plate for the larger filter that PC uses on their KX250s. (Next year we get to call it a KX250F again!)
Little bladder extender for Kitchen's Pro Circuit Showa A-kit shock.
A shock sock on a not-muddy day? One of the PC mechanics told us that the current shock bumper design makes it very hard to remove debris when just washing between motos, so they've gone the route of keeping it covered up. Just one less thing to go wrong on race day.
Kitchen's cable clutch. Romano and Hammaker are still on hydros, for now. They've all been given the choice of which one they want to run. Also, not the heavy silicone to keep the snag ring in place on the counter shaft socket.
Manual cam chain tensioner.
No oil cooler for the PC machines? We asked, and this new platform that was released last year would take a completely new cooler design to fit on the bike. It's not fully done yet, plus they said the bike is running on the cool side right now, so it's not as necessary as years past.
The silver ring at the top of the clamps is actually a spacer, as these forks have a 2mm thinner diameter at the top clamping area then the forks the team started the year on.
TLD's latest Sony movie promotion is Jackass Best and Last. Oh, the childhood memories...
Danny was attempting to test out how good Bell helmets really are, but he missed and got his arm instead.
We noticed a few teams were just taping over their flush-mounted gas caps to ensure they didn't leak or come loose mid-moto. If your oversized tank is large enough that the bike doesn't ned to be topped off after the sight lap, why not?
Aden Keefer got a re-do for his pro debut at Hangtown, making the motos with a low 20s qualifying position, and spent a bit of the motos running inside the points. Progress, progress...
Ex-racer Heath Harrison "the Alabama Slama" is guiding Lil Keefer this Summer and spinning the wrenches...
We love us some CRM Karbotanks.

FMF recently made a new headpipe length and taper specifically for Phoenix's engine package.
Stock link arm but mated up with Factory Connections rocker for the Phoenix CRF250Rs.
Another tapped-up tank.
Guess who's phone.
The sand and topsoil Hangtown tossed on the track this year was so loose, it kept covering up the grates on the starting line after every start.
This created a lot of work for mechanics each time they lined up.
SPEED, Lux is SPEED.
Lux Turner's Toyota of Redlands/BarX Yamaha YZ250F.
Turner's YZ250F has a Brembo hydro with a reservoir extender.
Mated up to this slave cylinder that runs that usually cable clutch YZ250F.
When your semi doesn't have onboard pressure washers, you make a wash cart.
Mikayla is getting some advice from her boyfriend and fellow pro racer, Parker Ross.

Hutch doing some voodoo magic to the Lawrence's machines.
Mapping feels like a dark art still in the sport, as there aren't that many who can do it, and literally only a handful that are exceptional at it. Want a job on a race team? Get good at mapping, and you'll have a job.
Shimoda returned to a fork similar to his setup from last year, also returning to the 27mm cartridge from the 25mm production fork cartridge.
He also returned to an A-Kit Showa shock, instead of the production-based Works Edition version from the opening round.
Hello Mr. GPS transmitter.
Hymas also returned to the 27mm A-Kit style fork, but unlike Shimoda, he chose to stick it out with the Works Edition shock.
Taka-san, testing master.
We want a matching ice vest for our gear...
Shimoda is showing respect during the National Anthem...Matthes, wanna try it sometime? (we're just joking)
In a sea of scoop tires, we had one taker with Dunlop's AT-82, Mr. Colt Nichols.
Colt Nichols broke HEP's usual trend of non-coated suspension.
A little bit of air assist with Nichols' spring fork, who ran an air fork a lot in Supercross.
Hmm, looks like Deegan might have tried a steering damper at one point...or that's one odd transponder mount.
Optimus Prime?
Mitch had a few reasons to smile at Hangtown.
Denno's helmet was catching our eye.
CRM Karbotank aboard the 5.11 Triumph Factory Racing TF 250-X.
We noticed Hunter Lawrence rocking some Oakley shades lately. His goggle sponsor is Alpinestars, so no eyewear connection there, but still unique to see.
That's not a Kove, just Freehill's very teal Honda CRF250R.
Mitchell Oldenburg and Benny Bloss are both in Canvas gear, but also both using unbranded Thor Sentinel chest protectors.
Beta boys taking on Pro Motocross.
Is Adam Cianciarulo back?
Naw, that's just Enzo Temmerman. Enzo showed up at Hangtown for his Pro Motocross National of the year aboard a Team Green amateur bike and put on a solid showing. We believe there's a good chance he'll be on a full Pro Circuit bike come Hangtown.
Gilly working his magic.
Been a while since we've seen this version of KYB's LSF or PSF1 fork, using a taller outer area of the cartridge. The base valve and cap area have to be compressed into the fork, with a snap ring released to then take it out. It's not threaded in.
Tools of the trade for the air fork magicians. Some nitrogen, a sensitive gauge, and a heat gun to make sure the fork is relatively up to temperature when checking pressure.
Deegan and Cooper are using a works shock that has a sleeved-down compression adjuster to be more similar to a production model, while Webb is still using the larger works adjuster with three adjustment options. Also, holy grip points for Webb!
Fork warmers at a Pro Motocross race? Yup, getting those air forks up to temp.
The Beta's crew front end is quite the sight, X-Trig ROCS clamps tied to some kit KYB forks. We heard the team recently tested with one of the top 450 riders in the pits, and they're most liked portion of the 450 RX was the chassis and suspension combo.
Give us AIR!
The Beta team pairs Bridgestone tires with Nuetech's PROLOCK system.
Steg Pegz? Check. Lots of grip tape on the frame and side panels? Check. Ribbed seat cover that wraps around the side (aka mud spec cover)? Check. Landen Gorodn is looking for some grip to hang onto this Star Racing machine.
Love us some vented front plates.
Welp, someone's tractor had issues. While we love a long-nose Pete, this isn't what the TLD Ducati team usually uses.
YouTube certified mechanic, that made us giggle. Also spot the Goku sticker.
Drop something?
See you all in Denver!
