The Lawrence brothers continue to lead the 2026 AMA 450 Nationals . They traded places and they traded wins, which gave them a stranglehold on the 2026  title.—Well one of them then at the east.

Jorge Prado (26) not only holeshot, but he chased Hunter and Jett Lawrence all the way to the finish line and ended-up second overall at Budds Creek.

Budds Creek was inundated by a powerful rain storm, but as the day progressed the track became more manageable. In the 250 class Honda’s Chase Hymas took the overall victory with a 2-1 edging out Cole Davies 1-3. Meanwhile in the 450 class Hunter Lawrence, was under pressure from Jorge Prado in the second 450 moto, who would later be challenged by Jett Lawrence, who first had to disperse with Mikkel Haarup to get to third behind Hunter and Jorge. Jett finally caught and passed Jorge Prado with one laps to go, but Prado’s third in the second moto matched his third in the first moto to get him to the second step on the podium. Haiden Deegan’s 2-4 was good enough for third overall—edging out Jett’s 5-2.

At the halfway point Kitchen broke into the top three. With ten minutes left, Kitchen caught Davies and with just over two laps to go, Kitchen got very close to Hymas, but Hymas held on to the lead to win by just over two seconds. It was the third 250 National win of his career. Cole Davies was 30 seconds behind the Honda and Kawasaki riders. But his 1-3 score was good enough to give him 14 point lead in the 250 class heading to Ironman on Saturday
