Orgo-Life the new way to the future

Cooper Webb will contest the full FIM World Supercross Championship for the first time – a resolution has been reached with Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing over his participation. The agreement clears the way for Webb to race SX Global's entire six-round calendar despite its overlap with the latter portion of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship.

That overlap has never presented a mightier challenge. The FIM World Supercross Championship has expanded to six rounds and, with the opening event now scheduled for the first weekend of August, riders and teams must balance domestic motocross commitments with international supercross plans at the busiest point of the season (especially as SuperMotocross looms).

Some are naturally positioned to accommodate such a delicate balancing act. Christian Craig's Quad Lock Honda team competes in both championships, giving it a vested interest in finding a workable solution. Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing, however, is not involved in WSX and therefore has little incentive to divert its attention toward an additional series.

That reluctance was amplified by the expectation that Webb's relationship with the team will conclude at the end of the season, making the agreement a notable compromise for both parties. If paddock reports are to be believed, Webb will be aboard a leased factory Husqvarna FC 450 when the second World Supercross race takes place in early October.

"I believe, as of now, everyone has a great agreement," Webb said exclusively. "Star Racing is awesome and we have come to an agreement that'll put me in Canada in August. There is a lot to plan. First and foremost, my job is AMA Pro Motocross. We will do outdoors until Washougal and, normally, we would have a week break at that point. I'll probably do two or three days of supercross in at that point.

"Yeah, as of now, it seems that we will race in Canada with Star Racing Yamaha."

Webb's Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing steed will be underneath the Rick Ware Racing tent when the 2026 FIM World Supercross Championship launches. The popular opinion is that he starts as the SX1 title favorite in a field that includes reigning champion Jason Anderson, Joey Savatgy and Christian Craig.
