During his two years at Elland Road, the Brazilian international netted 17 goals and helped the Whites fend off any immediate threat of relegation from the Premier League.

However, his subsequent move to Spain in the summer of 2022 has allowed him to reach the next level in his career, as seen by his remarkable tally of 81 goals in 181 appearances.

The 23-year-old has featured for every minute in the Premier League so far this campaign, helping the Whites keep a clean sheet during the opening day win over Nottingham Forest.

His underlying stats from the ongoing campaign showcase his quality within the defensive third, subsequently ranking him above a whole host of players in his position.

Muharemovic has averaged an incredible 13.1 defensive contributions per 90 this campaign, with such a tally ranking him in the top 12% of defenders in the division.

He’s also averaged 2.1 interceptions and 8.3 clearances per 90, with both of the aforementioned figures higher than any other player within Farke’s senior squad.

They also rank him highly compared to other players in his position, subsequently placing him above 92% of other defenders in England’s top-flight this term.

Even in possession, the Bosnian has caught the eye, as seen by his tally of 8.4 line-breaking passes per 90 - which has made him an excellent option when building up from the back.

It’s certainly early days into his career at Elland Road, but it’s clear that Muharemovic will play a vital role in the Whites’ efforts of being a success this campaign.

Should he continue performing at his current level, there’s no denying he will be a key senior member and one who could reach the level of Raphinha in the near future.
