Unfortunately, he has been an unused substitute for Daniel Farke in his first two appearances in the matchday squad, against Brighton in the Premier League and Chelsea in the League Cup.
Why Bahoya may struggle for game time at Leeds
The concern with Bahoya is that his favoured role currently belongs to one of the team's top performers since they returned to the Premier League, Noah Okafor.
Since signing from AC Milan for £18m, the Swiss attacker has racked up eight goals and four assists in 39 appearances in all competitions for the Whites, with all eight of those goals coming in the top-flight.
Okafor is at his best on the left side of the attack, cutting in on his right foot, whether that is as a left winger or as a left-sided ten, and that is also where Bahoya typically plays.
The 21-year-old forward predominantly played on the left flank during his time with Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, although he did play on the other wing and as a number ten on rare occasions.

Bahoya has also never scored more than four goals in a single top-flight season in his career, whilst Okafor scored eight in the Premier League last term, which suggests that he is unlikely to take the Swiss star's place any time soon.
Therefore, the Frenchman could struggle for regular minutes on the pitch unless Okafor's form declines or he sustains an injury that provides the Frankfurt loanee with a window of opportunity.
Forgotten Leeds star who is a bigger talent than Bahoya
Whilst it remains to be seen whether or not Farke will be able to unearth Bahoya's potential at Elland Road this season, there is another talent in the squad who has even more potential to become a star.
Whilst out on loan in the 2025/26 campaign, Mateo Joseph sustained an ACL injury in April whilst playing on loan at Mallorca in LaLiga, which means that he is not expected to return until next year and has not played a single minute this season.
The Spain U21 international could be back between January and April, if his recovery goes well, and there is a non-zero chance that he features for Leeds before the end of the season.
Surprisingly, despite his injury, the academy graduate was recently named in the club's official squad list for the Premier League campaign, which means that he would be eligible to play upon his return.
Prior to his injury, the young number nine showed glimpses of quality in LaLiga with a return of two goals and three assists in 19 starts in the division for Mallorca.
His most recent experience with Leeds, though, came in the title-winning season in the Championship in the 2024/25 campaign, as he racked up three goals and three assists in 11 starts.

When taking his limited minutes into account, Joseph ranked highly among his positional peers at getting into high-quality goalscoring positions and creating quality chances for his teammates.
That was also the case for him in LaLiga last season. The Spaniard ranked in the top 26% of LaLiga strikers for xG per 90 (0.27) and the top 45% for assists per 90 (0.16), which speaks to his ability to score and create goals as a centre-forward.
Joseph, who has scored six goals in 73 games for Leeds, scored 20 times and provided four assists in 34 matches for the club's U21s before Farke brought him up to the first-team in the 2023/24 campaign.
Bahoya does not appear to have the same kind of untapped potential as an attacking force, as he has never scored more than five goals or provided more than four assists in a season at youth or senior level.
Joseph's sensational goal return at youth level, coupled with his output in limited minutes in recent seasons, suggests that he has even more potential than the French loanee, and is a more exciting talent.
It will now be interesting to see whether or not Farke will give him an opportunity to impress in the Premier League once he has recovered from his ACL injury.
