Daniel is an experienced football writer and editor, having worked in the football media industry for over a decade.

After voluntarily writing for Fresh Press for two years, helping to build and establish the Read brand, Daniel started a part-time job with Fresh Press that later turned into a full-time writing and editing role, writing for club-specific pages such as Read Norwich, Read Celtic, Read Liverpool, and Read Arsenal.

Daniel spent just shy of a year writing and editing for Liverpool-based website, Anfield Watch, which included conducting and/or transcribing interviews with Liverpool goalkeeping coach John Achterberg, former Wycombe striker Adebayo Akinfenwa, and journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Since the summer of 2021, Daniel has worked for Snack Media (now Valnet) and has been a contributor to Football FanCast, on a freelance and full-time basis, as a writer and editor.

Daniel is a Norwich City fan and season ticket holder. He has been heard on BBC Norfolk and helped DAZN with research for their commentary due to his knowledge of the club, along with being featured in several local papers across the country, including the Coventry Telegraph and the Liverpool Echo, for Norwich-related content.

Daniel's knowledge extends to Scottish football, having covered Celtic and Rangers for several years. He particularly enjoys producing player analysis and producing transfer content.

Leeds United hit the jackpot last summer when they brought Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor in to bolster their options at the top end of the pitch.

Meanwhile, the Whites splashed the cash to bring the Swiss winger in from AC Milan for a fee of £18m, and he ended his first campaign in English football with eight goals and three assists in 33 matches.

Okafor and Calvert-Lewin both added a much-needed goal threat to the squad to help Daniel Farke's team to finish 14th in the Premier League, avoiding relegation.

Now, Brenden Aaronson looks like the weak link out of the regular starters in the front three after a return of four goals in 42 matches in the 2025/26 campaign.

Leeds are in talks to sign Premier League forward

The USA international ended the season on a run of 17 Premier League games without a goal, with his last two goals coming in a 4-3 defeat to Newcastle United at the start of January.

Now, the West Yorkshire outfit are reportedly looking at a Premier League star who would arrive at the club as a much better option than the American next season.

Fulham's Harry Wilson reacts on the bench after he is substituted

According to TEAMtalk, Leeds United are one of a number of clubs vying for the signing of Fulham forward Harry Wilson on a free transfer in the summer transfer window.

The report claims that the Whites are in talks with his representatives over a potential move to Elland Road, hoping that their strong contingent of Welsh players, including Dan James, Joe Rodon, and Ethan Ampadu, can give them an edge.

Fellow Premier League sides Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, Everton, and Aston Villa are also in the race to sign the left-footed forward, who is eager to explore his options.

TEAMtalk reveals that Villa are emerging as the frontrunners for his signature, as they have Champions League football to offer and Unai Emery is said to be a huge fan of Wilson, which means that Leeds have their work cut out if they want to secure his services.

How Harry Wilson would be better than Brenden Aaronson for Leeds

The Whites should ramp up these talks with the player's representatives in an attempt to push ahead of Villa in the race for the Fulham star, because he would arrive at Elland Road as an upgrade on Aaronson for Farke.

Brenden-Aaronson

As aforementioned, the USA international did not offer much of a threat as a goalscorer in the Premier League. Taking the two goals in one game against Newcastle away, he scored two goals in 36 matches.

The former RB Salzburg star, who was signed by Jesse Marsch in 2022, also underperformed his xG of 4.55 and missed four 'big chances' to find the back of the net, showing that he was too wasteful in front of goal.

Wilson, however, outperformed his xG by 4.17, hitting double figures for goals in the Premier League, on top of providing seven assists for his teammates for Fulham.

Marco Silva, his manager at Craven Cottage, described his offensive numbers as "incredible" and it is hard to disagree with that assessment, particularly in comparison to Aaronson's.

The Wales international is a terrific finisher and a scorer of great goals who can win matches with moments of magic, as evidenced by both his impressive goal tally and his xG differential.

He would offer significantly more than Aaronson as a goalscorer, given that he scored more than twice as many goals, and add another dimension to Farke's attack as a left-footed right winger.

Fulham's Harry Wilson

Wilson can cut in off the left, as Okafor does on his right foot off the left, to open the flanks for the full-backs and create chances to take shots at goal with his favoured foot.

He would be a perfect fit for Farke's front three in a 3-4-2-1 formation, with Wilson on the right and Okafor on the left behind Calvert-Lewin, and has all the attributes required to offer way more than Aaronson did in that role in the attack this season.

However, they must first convince the player to turn down the possibility of Champions League football at Villa Park to bring him to Elland Road this summer.
